Oh the horror! I wanted to cry...

I am using it right now, although with only 3 lugs on it. It will be fixed Monday morning. I might keep it as a spare in case I ever screw one up.

It depends on where I live if I feel like I need to be armed. When I lived in Columbia, SC and if I had to go down 2 Notch Road or Decker Blv, I never travelled without my trusty EAA .380, but now that I'm in Fort Collins, CO, I don't feel the need to to pack heat.

Deer in SC but Elk up here. Elk makes a great stew...

I moved from a dangerous area to a nice area and I don't regret it...

In SC I used my CWP and I frequently carried, but I didn't advertise it.

** Absolutely. This American thing about carrying a gun, to feel safe, or, in ** Manning's case, as some kind of threat, is insane. Yeah, piss me off and ** I'll blow you away. Wow, the WWF isn't just on the TV in the US I see...

Discreetly arming oneself is a very intelligent move, and is not for everyone. I've had my nose broken twice by street thugs, and still, that weapon never cleared leather. The hammer strap doesn't even get thumbed unless I'm convinced I or my family will die and there is no retreat possible.

Sun Tsu once said that battles are won long before they are ever fought. People like you should stay out of self-defense arguments. You have no clue about the true nature of survival or self-defense.

** I think he's a security dude & is allowed to carry a sidearm... but I could ** be wrong. ** ** -Mike

In agreement; most anyone can buy a PC-832 permit around here so that they can earn an extra two bucks an hour as a security guard. Few have even graduated High School, yet are suddenly transformed into a legal and small arms expert when that permit finally arrives in the mail. A well-educated, sworn LEO would never speak this way.

Off-topic, and moving along rapidly now...

** It would take a life threatening situation for me to draw. ** ** Don Manning

Damn Don. It don't take much to get the anti-gun morons flappin' them jaws, does it?

Hard to believe anyone used an air chisel. I've removed locking lugs with rubber-lined impact sockets pretty easily, or in the worst case, with a pair of vice-grips and a rubber mallet. I'm pleased to hear they've stepped up to the plate with an offer to buy you a new wheel. Few would bother.

Wow, do you even know what words mean? That's not what I (or it seems anyone else) got out of his story at all. Embellishing his story to suit your anti-handgun (for protection purposes) position is both dishonest and disingenuous.

Wow, another one who can't read for content/context. Let's see if anyones else got it: Manning DID NOT walk into the shop waving his gun around. Manning DID NOT threaten anyone. The shop manager/owner happens to be a friend of his who knows he has a CWP. The employees were only uptight because he's a big guy who happens to also have a CWP - which only shows that they either didn't know him as well as the manager, or they have the same preconceived (read: incorrect) notions as the anti-gun crowd.

C'mon Jim. You start hurling nationalist insults and things will get out of control pretty quickly. *One person* in a country of

300 million people makes a comment about being big, armed and intimidating and you start indicting everyone in the USA of being Dirty Harry. That's simply not the case.

Let's tone down the rhetoric on both sides.

I just realized Brad is from Canada. D'oh!!

I guess that's one more vote Mr. Kerry won't get.

Hope he FIRED the Stupid, incompetent moron!

BTW, why do you carry a gun ??

-ERIC

This was on a necessary visit:

To specialists in Philadelphia, of all places. Center City no less. Crack Capital of Pennsylvania.

Driving a nice car didn't help matters much either.

PS

When I'm in a store, I wouldn't want anyone to know I have a gun, then the element of surprise would be lost on would be robbers!

LOOOOOOL

omfg too funny

-Mike

Obviously, for me, it is to threaten lowly tire store workers.

Don Manning

LMAO !!!

Rambo!!

Maybe you can go intimidate our friend the Rent-a-Cop-Wannabe up North ??

Eh ??

LMAO!! Obviously!! I just carry mine in case I see a deer ;) Seriously though, I will be in the market soon for a gun that I can conceal. My 686 is a little large to conceal, lol. I am thinking I may get either a beretta or maybe a kimber. I just want to look cool too! Erik D. '94 white lightning

Here in Tampa By it's for football stars to threaten their fellow drivers with. :-( few months back on of the TB Buccaneers did this.. How stupid can you get?

The broadsword may be mightier than the pen, but the gun is mightier than the broadsword. Don't count on me to prove it though. Unless I can borrow a Colt 1911.. :-)

Hey Erik, Have a look at the Walther P99. I have one in O.D. Green, I just love the thing! They are made by S&W now, but one helluva carry weapon.

But imagine how much fun it would be. And you'd get to tick off people like Brad at the same time :-D
