OT: Lightnings at the lakefront

Cool! Sweet looking trucks, both of them. BTW, after considering our trucks, I've come to the conclusion that the Dak R/T CC is DC's version of a "modern-day" Gen 1 Lightning.

How much does it weigh?

I would estimate just a little over 5,000 pounds. I need to take mine to a scale and find out for sure.

My estimate is high 15's at best for the 1/4. That is a lot of weight to get moving.

Indeed. My R/T is over 1000 pounds lighter, with 250hp and 345lb.ft. of torque. Erik's Gen 1 Lightning is roughly the same. I'm guessing the F150 would be at least a truck-length behind the Lightning or the R/T in the 1/4 mile.

What year is it? A friend of mine has an '03 FX4 with a 75 shot, and a few bolt-ons. He runs 15.1's pretty much every time he runs. He has hit a few 15.2's though. But it is a pretty close race b/w me and him. Not too bad for a 4x4 extended cab vehicle if you ask me. If I had to guess i'd say the FX4 prolly would have run low 16's stock, so if you have a 2wd it probably would hit high 15's depending on gears and such. There is only one way to find out! Erik D. It is a new 2004 F-150 4x4 with the 300 hp/365 ft-lb torque motor. I don't know how fast it is yet because it isn't broken in.

I won't be racing this truck, but was curious if anyone else has seen any performance numbers for these trucks.
