Please help me identify a 69 Mustang Grande.
Thanks for the help guys. I'm looking to buy my first mustang after years of wanting one. I have found a 1969 Mustang Grande. The car has many new parts but is a mechanic special. Problem is the mechanic is a Chevy man. The car was advertised as a 351 Windsor and has the proper codes under the hood and on the driver door. It has T for Metuchen, New Jersey, 01 for hardtop, and M for 351 4V. The car doses not have the original carburetor, and has an Edelbrock intake manifold. When asked the guy could not tell me if it was really a 351. Is there any way to tell exactly what engine it has short of breaking it down and measuring the stroke? Is the firing order on a 351 different than the 289 or 302? One last thing, how was the vin under the hood attached? This one had a single screw in the middle holding it to the frame but the one on the door was riveted with very large rivets.
Thanks for all the help guys. Ps I have a pic of the engine if that would help. It's too large to post.
