I built a website in 1997 and continue to run it to this day. The site isdevoted to one of my favorite actors, and it features galleries, soundclips, interviews and more. I give full credit to the authors of theinterviews.About a year ago, a writer/interviewer who works for Venice Magazine, wroteto me and said I owed her $5000 for the right to use her interview on mysite. I scoffed at her as I was tired of being nice, and pretty much did allI could to insult her (hey, she wasn't very nice to me either)...all byemail.Now a year later, she threatens me with a lawsuit, stating that the rightsto the interview, which appeared in Venice Magazine over 10 years ago, havereverted back to her, and she wants payment or else.That email was a few weeks ago, so far I have received no further contactfrom her.Do I have anything to worry about? LOL! I told her basically to "Bring iton." I even offered to remove the article if it made her unhappy, but thenshe came back at me with legal mumbo jumbo that just pissed me off and mademe even more determined to keep the article on my site.What's the big deal? I make no money on this site, it's strictly a fan site,which the stupid cow (Quendrith Johnson) didn't seem to understand. I agree, Mike, that's why I've not complied with her "demands" thus far.
