my guess fwiw would be that it would fit. I had a gauge cluster (speedo & tach etc.) from a 79 280zx that the speedo went up to 120mph and my 81 280zx speedo omly went to 85. Swapped them out no problem and I even upgrded the bulbs to the newest type. So go for it i say.
