The fuse cover plate on the left side - positioned right above your left knee - is that a storage compartment as well? I have a friend who have been putting change in it - is it designed to be used for this purpose?

If mine didn't have the homelink, I would be using it for the garage door opener. As it is, I also keep change in it. It is a storage bin.

I have the same vehicle and just went out and looked. I think it was designed to hold something. It would have just been a flat panel if it was just designed to cover the fuse block. I didn't even realize it could hold something until you posted this. I've been putting change in my rear cup holder. I think I'll put it in that compartment from now on.

I've used mine as storage compartment for years now from day one. Seems to work great for that. Once in a while it's tricky getting the compartment back in correctly if you remove it.

I keep a $20 bill in it for when I leave home without my wallet.

Why not just leave your wallet in there ? I hate driving with a wallet in my back pocket so I usually just leave it in my PF.
