My 87 Nissan Maxima has been having trouble running and sometimes starting after it rains hard all night. When I start the car after a hard rain it usually starts up, but if I start to drive it, it feels as though it has no power and stalls out often. If I let the car warm up for 10 minutes it usually runs OK. It sounds like water is getting in some where. Any advice? Thanks,

You can start by replacing the spark plug wires if they haven't been replaced in 16 years.
Thanks but those were replaced about 4 years ago. I will take a look under the distributer cap this weekend, I just hope it doesn't rain.

The distributor cap, rotor, and/or spark plug wires are probably arcing out, causing the engine to miss. This will occur more when it is wet. If you want to know which one it is, get a household spray bottle, fill it with water, and start spraying a mist over the suspect component. Typically, when the engine starts to miss you should actually be able to see and hear exactly where it is coming from.
