I could use some help with my 2003 nissan xterra. I have an old boat and I wired the harness myself and it appeared to work fine on a jeeb, but I attached the wiring to my nissan and nothing happened? I had to splice a wire which was not attached to power before to get the parking lights and blinkers to work. The second element for the brakes never turns on and instead the lights seem to go off when I hit brakes and if the parking lights are not on then the wrong )parking lights) lights come on the trailer. I am sorry but this is the best I can explain. It is a normal setup with 3 hot wires coming from the car to 5 going to the trailer. Please help.
