I just changed my tie rod ball joints and the lock nuts didnt move. So no change in original length. Now both tires are way out of wack. Could this be because I had spun the tie rods themselves? Any help greatly appreciated.
tie rod change

uh yes, get it aligned professionally now.
Where did you buy the tie rod ends? Did you compare the lengths with the old ones? If you didn't move the lock nut, the alignment should be REAL close to the same using good parts. On a car with a rack spinning the inner tie rodes doesn't change anything, all the adjustment is in the outer tie ro0d threads. My guess is you used 'discount' parts (cheap) and/or they sold you the wrong ones.
