I'm looking for a used car for my 15 year old that will soon have her license. Any thoughts on the Xterra?

Year & Models that are good/bad?

Top heavy?

Mileage?

Common problems/beefs to look out for?

Isn't it kind of a big gas guzzler for a 15 year old? They are reliable enough, but 18MPG on a good day.
