CV Joints

Aug 12, 2006 2 Replies

My '89 Altima has begun to make a 'clunking' noise as it turns corners. To be more specific: when it turns right and I accelerate. I suspected the CV joint. The outer CV boots on both drive shafts are split, but the inner boots are still intact. I was able to put some extra grease in the CV joint on the driver's side (about three big fingers full) but it hasn't eliminated the noise. Anything else I should try??

I was afraid of that.
