Hi guys, I have a charade 1993 G200 1.3ltr. both my CV joints are clicking and have been for a while now. I have had my boots changed when i noticed them having a crack in them. but when the mechanic replaced them for me, he failed to tell me that it might be better to have changed the cv joint at the time (oh well learn from mistakes) anyhow now that im in this situation. how much would it cost to replace the two joints ie, left/right, would only the CV joints need to be replace?? what is a Half shaft? does that contain the inner joint, the drive shaft and the outer joint? how much do mechanics charge to replace these? and how much for labour only component? i ask this cos iv seen some new CV joints on ebay for like $45 each.
