Hit a deer a few weeks ago, not much of a jolt, really. Just bent the hood and broke a headlight. Took to body shop, new hood + light + paint = $1600. Picked it up, and the charge and brake lights were on, the clock does not work, and the trip odometer has no memory with the key off. I check it out, can't find anything but a bad alternator. Take it back to the body shop, and get their mechanic's opinion: bad alternator. I replace it myself (a pain, but not too bad). Fixes the charging system, but the clock still does not work, the security LED does not blink, and the trip meter still has no memory. My Haynes does not show enough schematics to see the connection (pun intended). Yes, all the fuses in both fuse boxes are good. Am I missing something? I have inspected all of the harnesses and ground connections all around the front of the car, can't find a problem. Input greatly appreciated!!
