about every two or three days i have issues with the transmission slipping. the very first time i drove the car, it had sat for 6 months and was fine. then a friend drove it for a couple of hours. when i got into it a couple of hours later, the transmission did a lot of slipping, but it fixed itself after a few miles and the slipping was gone. it hasn't left me stranded by any means and is only on occasion - it isn't a constant. but i need to fix it before it does. when it does happen, it primarily occurs while shifting, and has done it when selecting D from a stopped position, when shifting in lower gears and on the highway when shifting or accelerating heavily.
any ideas?
