Like I said,,it doesn't say it will not run on Reg.......your going to get reduced mileage, reduce HP, and its going to ping on hard acceleration. The engine is designed to run best on Premium, if it was not, then yes, Premium is a waste of money.
Hey its your $30,000 car,,save your pennies and take your chances,,,if you read the whole manual, it says that if you experience frequent spark knock, you should use a better grade fuel, and that prolonged operation of the vehicle could damage the engine, and void the warrantee.
This thread keeps coming up over and over,,,go to maxima.org and see what the experts say about which fuel to use. For this difference in price of reg and premium, why anyone would buy this car, and then run regular in it , and expect it to perform just like premium, is beyond me....????????
