Issues with Climate Control

There's an icon on the climate control system, it shows a person sitting with 2 arrows, one pointing straight ahead at the person's upper body and the other pointing down at the feet. If you push that button and set the tempurature, varying somewhere between hot and cold, you will find that the warmer air will be pushed to your feet and the cooler air will come out of the vents.

As for fogging issue, it could simply be as a result of the 2000 Maxima's glass area being much larger than the 91's, so the 2000 will be affected by outside tempuratures more, and hence tend to produce condensation more which is the fogging of the windows. Putting the AC system on, in hot or cold mode, will clear that up.

If it is any consolation, my 2K maxima is also very susceptible to window fog problem in cold. If I drive my 94 Integra with recirculate on and AC on, windows rarely fog up even on cold days, whereas my Maxima fogs up routinely on recirculate even with AC on. It is very annoying but I have learned to just with it by switching to fresh air periodically. I wish I could switch to defog mode on climate control without it switching to fresh air automatically as well. Defog with recirculate on and AC on just might do better.
