Ping NissTech...CH Sensor question

Jun 25, 2003 1 Replies

NissTech,

The cylinder head temperature sensor is a little unique. Am I correct that you don't have to drain the coolant to replace it? It just transfers heat by pressing against the head metal, rather than protruding into the coolant, and no gaskets or sealant is necessary?

Thanks,

Jim

Thanks a bunch. It is an 88 and I ordered the sub harness at your earlier recommendation (it was corroded and green). This might be easier than I thought, once I get that bracket out of the way.
