My 90 GEE speedo is registering speed at cold startup before going into gear. I can rev the motor in the morning and the speed will increase as rpm's increase. After the car reaches normal operating temp and is driving, the speedo behaves normally. I checked the vehicle speed sensor and it registers .5 vac as shown in the manual. I wonder if this has anything to do with the cold - slow shifting problem I'm experiencing. In a week or two, I'm planning to take out the valve body and check the transmission temp sensor, all wiring, valves and solenoids.
Any thoughts???
