Hi,
I sold my brother my old 99 1.9lxd 206, but the level has started dropping in the break fluid reservoir. No fluid apperas to be leaking from the car or the drums or cylinders, the brakes work ok. I thought it mabe leaking back to the servo, does anyone know of any known issues or a cure?

Thanks for the reply....the cylinder has needed topping up regularly over the last 6 months or so, with a few containers of fluid having been used, that much fluid would have been flooding out of the drums I would have thought.

Two years ago we (i.e, my brother & I) noticed the brake fluid level was going low. We both thought of the front pad - it was a 205D. Later we found that a rear cylinder was leaking, and probably for months, judging the state of drum's internals.

LOL ! Some days ago, a post on news:alt.fr.autos.peugeot was relating a misadventure : a guy came to Eldauroto (a bit like Halfrauds) for a cambelt change. Two weeks later, big engine fail, an expert watched all this stuff and concluded by a wrong belt type and a reverse mounting. Ain't they strong ? Bye, 406 1.8 16v...
