i have a peugeot 306 sedan 1.8 petrol m reg (95). Just recently the miles per gallon has gone up. now i?m getting like 25 mpg?? I have an auto diagnostic light come up on the dashboard, could this be linked? Also this could be linked to it- when the car is cold it sometimes is a little sluggish for the first couple of miles (maybe choke sticking on?) Any solutions or advice , thanks

Download the engine management error codes and see what the fault is. Halfrauds sell the device to download the codes for about 20 notes.

I had similar symptons with my pug some time ago. The reason was aged lambda sonde. Diagnostics didn't indicate the problem explicitly to lambda but say only "fuel mixture". Hope this helped,
