IIRC, the speakers are rated about 35watts so they are not that powerful. The stereo is kinda pants in pugs anyway. Tell me though, when you put the bass on in your 307 and you turn the volume up does your lights on your stereo dim when the beat goes cos my pug stereo used to in my 306. I changed it for a kenwood and a few subs and amps in the boot (ur gonna be sick now) so you dont just hear it, you kinda feel it now from about 10 feet away from the car! IT still doesnt make you cough though, but ive still gotta mod it so it does!
