Reset 406 Service Light

Hi All

I've been looking around about how to reset the service light (the spanner) on my 406, could someone please tell me how to do it?

Many Thanks

Tad

RESETTING SERVICE INTERVAL ON 406

make sure the car is switched off, find the mileage zero button and hold it in, switch on ignition (pos 1 or 2). The display starts a 10 second countdown, keep button held down for the ten seconds, The display shows 0, and the service symbol disappears. that's it!! If by chance you happen to take your finger off the button before ten seconds are up, it will give a shorter service interval, such as 6000 or

9000, to reset it go through the whole thing again.

There's someone selling that for a pound a go on ebay !!

James

Hi Oli. Thanks for the quick reply, I'll give it a try. Many Thanks.

Hi James. I know, I saw them on ebay, takes the pi55 a little!?!?

Cheers

Tad

Eh ?

The steps are listed in my owner's manual !

Hi Nom,

They're listed in every manual, indeed (also in my '02 206). Damn, if we were a bit of thugs then we could get rich without any effort... Count £1 per time we gave the trick here :-)
