Time for a 406 ... but which?

Thinking of changing 405 turbo diesel estate for similar 406 estate. Maybe £5k to spend. Mainly around London with some long-haul stuff in the summer.

Which model is the =most reliable ? =least hassle ?

What problems should I watch out for?
