02 Grand Am, 2.3 4cyc.,40,000miles it seems that recently when the gas tank gets to 1/4 tank the check engine light comes on. After filling and properly replacing the gas cap and driving a few miles it goes off and stays off. It comes on again when the tank goes low. Do the caps go bad? The cap appears ok. Anyone have this problem?

make sure the cap isnt loose. find someone that has a GM autotap to read the codes for you. i have one but i live in tampa fl :O) I bought mine on ebay and have used it a few times
