Hello. This car (3800 engine) stalls unpredictably; it does while accelerating, slowing down, etc. My mechanic checked it out and found no problems. Any suggestions?

Agreed.
One important question I have, are you loosing coolant?
If you are it could be collecting ontop of your lower intake (where it doesnt belong) and every time you "stop" or "accelerate" as you said or even turn hard it can get sloshed into the intake runners which will stall the engine.
If this is the case get it fixed right away
