2001 Pontiac Montana - AC Not working - blows hot air

Jun 01, 2007 2 Replies

When using the Air Conditioning in my Montana, it only blows out warm to hot air, it does not cool. Also the fan only works on speeds 1, 2, 4 and 5. If I set the fan to speed 3, nothing happens.

I have seen alot of complaints regarding this online, but I have not found any solutions.

Does anyone have any experience and/or advice with this problem?

The fan problem is most likely the blower module.

For the AC not blowing cold, it could either be low on freon or maybe the cooling fans are not working. Does the vehicle run hot?

Fan speeds = blower resistor burned out.

No AC, on the GM mini vans of this era, it is usually a leaking condenser. There is a TSB for a redesigned condenser.
