Best State for used cars

Hi all: Sold my 94 Bonneville last month 94 (always had Bonneville's since

1990 and enjoy). Didn't drive it much but always had the car around to go for ride on weekend. Looking for a weekend driver, don't mind hi miles since I wont put much on, would like 2001 or newer, and thinking about ebay or online purchase. So here's the question. What in the groups opinion is a good state and bad states to buy from considering weather, salt or any other concerns. Thanks for any input. Ed

Texas, of course. No salt, no rust.

If it's in Texas and is being driven, the A/C and the cooling system works... trust me. By heat cracks, you probably mean vinyl & plastic? Anything from mid 80's on up ought to be ok. The only problems are near the Gulf (salt spray) and West Texas (sand storms that blast the paint off and etch the glass). My current daily driver is a 92 Grand Am. The paint is still in very good shape and so is all the plastic. It has sat out in the hot sun for the majority of it's life. The heat tends to eat charging systems and batteries though.

Come to Illinois and buy mine - you said you don't mind high miles. Good weekend car.
