Coolant Leak - 3800 Series II engine

Was the plastic EGR tube problem that caused coolant leakage into the intake manifold corrected by GM prior to production of the 2000 Gran Prix? Ray

It was supposed to have been corrected by time the 2000 models came out. From what I hear the new issue was a gasket problem. Perhaps just the gasket below the upper intake?
