2000 Pontiac Sunfire When car is started, daytime running lights start to blink and eventually engine light comes on. When high beams are used, both headlights go off. Any ideas how to fix myself?

A continuity meter, complete wiring diagrams, a lot of time, and a good plausible explanation of why you suddenly went bald.
Seriously though, it sounds like there's a short, possibly in the headlight circuit, more likely in the turn signal and or (if the sunfire is like my '96 Bonneville, meaning the running lights come on when I put the transmission into drive) transmission linkages.
