Drum brake is knocking

Dec 03, 2006 1 Replies
2002 Pontiac Sunfire with rear drums. Just replaced the drums and shoes/linings. Now there is a knocking noise only under moderate braking and gets louder with more force on the brakes. The knocking sounds like something is hitting from the rotation of the wheel since it is faster knocking when braking at higher speeds and slower knocking when braking at slower speeds. Help! :?

id take the drums off and see if you can see what it is. if you feel it in the brake pedal your drum may be out of round.
