Is replacing the EGR valve as simple as unbolting and disconnecting the wires from the old one, placing the new one in, and bolting it down and reconnecting the wires?

A 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. I think they've used the same EGR Valve on a few years in the same range. Like the 1999, 2000, and 2002 Pontiac Grand Prixs. It's a 3.8L V6. Not supercharged.
