Check inline fuel filter. If OK pull pump and check inlet sock. Might be a good idea to put a test lamp across the power leads to the pump and see if there is still power to the pump when it "goes quiet" If there is power and both filters are good, replace the pump while you have it out. Brushes on the pump motor could be all "used up" at
206K miles.

Fuel pumps can fail after 500 miles or after 500, 000 miles. They are very unpredictable that way.

OPS. Was the problem the same before the pump was replaced? Check the power situation and if the power goes out check the oil pressure safety switch that is supposed to shut the engine down on low oil pressure. Make sure you HAVE oil pressure - then replace the switch (ofter checking for bad connections)
They can also be no good out of the box -
