Mr. geoff walsh-pontiac update

thank you very much for your input on the 94 grand prix(3.4) misfire,i of course changed the spark plugs, they were way overdue anyway, changed fuel filter(over a year and a half since last changed)and of course the plug wires need changed, these particular type have very long plastic guide sleeves because the plugs sit down inside the cam blocks at least 5to 6 inches,so they are at napa around 90 bucks a set so they are going to have to wait till next payday, still had a miss after doing the work and traced it back to a misfire on no.2 cylinder, upon pulling it's match on the coil(no. 5 cylinder)thinking it might be the coil ,it was okay just no.2 was missing, probally bad wire i thought or could still be bad leg on coil, tracing wire down to coil it wasn't even snapped on,had came off, sanded plug leg on coil best i could, hard to see or reach, facing downword on front of engine and reconnected, question is could there have been some damage done to bare leg exposed for the week i ran it off and on or coil??good idea to replace it or just replace the wires as i plan to do???i take it worn or older wires will loosen and propability is higher to work off. thanks for you time i get a lot of good advice from others too on the group but i value your opinion highly. bob
