Re: '91 Grand am check light

ive had this problem b4.

  1. goto autozone and have them use the GM code key(cost Free) to find out the code.
  2. if its a code 32, its 2 things. the map sensor(-30), or, hope its not, the crank(cam) position sensor. both are inexpensive
  3. DO THE WORK YOURSELF The map sensor is a 5 minute job the crank sensor is about an hour or two, but if u want to have a mechanic do it, itll be around -300, plus for the part.
  4. The Crank position sensor WILL cause you to get too much or too little gas.
  5. Check the injector, a faulty injector will put too much gas in the manifold. Cost
  6. Before you start anything, get a chiltons repair guide for your car. It'll save your ass in some major repair costs.
  7. good luck.
