I've been having a problem with the seatbelt warning light in my grand am. The light goes on and off even when the seatbelt is properly fastened. I think theres a short somewhere, is there a way to turn this light off? It gets quite irritating, especially at night.

Are you sure it is the seatbelt light and not the air bag light? They are commonly confused...
If it is the seatbelt ilght I would take a look at the wire connections under the seat, and if they check out the dealer is probably the best option.
