Pontiac 6000 2.5L 123k Automatic. Since I've known the car, it ONCE IN A WHILE stalls when you goose or stomp on the gas pedal or sometimes just to start going after a stop. You've got to let it roll before you start pressing the gas from a stop or it's more likely to stall. It's even done this backing out of the driveway. Does it more during the Winter. Dad seems to think it's the fuel pressure regulator. Any suggestions? Thanks.

your dad might be right....might be the reg. had the same problem but on a
95 ford cargo. Does it want to stall when you are completely stoped?
It does not stall when I'm stopped nor does it want to. It also does not want to stall when I slow down. It's when you gun it (or push the gas pedal quite a ways further down quickly) or take off from a stop if you don't let the car role. Like I said, it only does this once in a while. My brother last year drove my car and went to get on the interstate and stomped on it to merge and it stalled on him. I don't have problems starting the car.
