Timing Chain

have a 98 GP with 85xxx plus miles, any recommendations when the chain should be replaced?

Let me ask John... Did you own a Honda before the GP? I'm guessing you=20 did. ;)

I recommend replacing them between 250,000 and 300,000 miles.

I believe your engine ( 3800 ) has a steel timing chain and two steel sprocket gears, they should last the life of the vehicle. I haven't changed mine.
