Just to get it right: Ferdinand Porsche (designer of the original Volkswagen (Beetle)) was born 1875 in Bohemia, then part of Austria. Nowadays it is in the Czech Republic.
His son, Ferry Porsche was born in Vienna in 1909.
I think that this should get corrected in the newsgroup which contains the names of the two great automotive persons.

He will always be English, but whether the government recognises him as british is a different ballgame.

And anyone born in any of them will tell you that each is god's own country.
