Another tire question

Sometime next month I will be getting a 2008 Prius with package #6 fron the dealer.

What tire comes with the car?

What is the best all-weather tire for the Prius?

Is it worth switching to the all-weather immediately?

If so, do I do it thru the Car Dealer or Tire Dealer?

How does the economics of the switch work?

just some info on package #6 ...i went to the dealer looking for #6 package & they had a #5 & would install leather which is supposedly better because it's full leather , not leather backed like the factory installed ...and for the same price .... just picked it up last nite & it has that smell of new leather .... good luck

What the heck does "leather backed" mean? Whats the point in having leather if its not on the *outside*?

Typical cheap factory leather seats only have leather on the seating surfaces, not on the sides or back.

Often aftermarket dealer-added leather kits skip details the factory option includes such as armrests and steering wheel. Don't know how things are these days but 20 years ago Porsche had 11 pages of leather options. Leather on the door lock knob? Leather on the backside of inside rear view mirror. Darn near every inside surface was listed with a leather option.
