When I first turn on my new Prius, after it has been off for some time (say overnight) the ICE starts and runs for a minute or two, even if the car has only moved a few feet. This seems to happen almost every time, and I was wondering why. It doesn't seem to correlate with the state of the battery charge.
Another question: early Priuses had a vacuum flask for storing the engine coolant while the car was parked, to retain heat. Does anyone know if this is still present in the current model?
