iPod hookup for 2003 Prius?

I have a 2003 Prius and want to hardwire an iPod into the stereo system (not use the not-so-great FM transmitter option that some iPod kits offer).



Does anyone know how to do this? Is there a kit?

I beleive there is a unit you can buy shortly from the place in florida that sell all kinds of prius add on's on the net... Cant think of the name right now its on Prius .com( found it )

My husband used to use the iRock FM-transmitter in his previous car, but that thing ate through batteries and finding an unused station could be difficult (static or bleed-through).

When I got my 2001 Prius, he got a Sony cassette tape adapter, which was far better. (You still get some clicking sounds from the tape deck, but that's not very distracting. Just be sure to turn down the output volume from the iPod so you aren't getting this clipped sound.)

Now that my husband replaced his previous car with a 2004 BC Prius, he's moved his Sony Cassette adapter and Belkin TuneDok into his Prius (and it rarely gets moved back into my Prius).
