Ipod + 97 e420

Anyone have a clue how to hardwire an ipod to an e420 stock stereo without replacing the deck and entire system? Thanks, Tommy

I've used a wireless fm modulator by logitech (I think) and it sounded horrible. I promptly returned it. The itrip looks cooler but seems to do the same thing. I've also tried the cassette adapter which sounds equally bad. I'm looking for someway to hardwire it or some adapter for an aux in? I've seen the digital adapters for the alpine cd changer??? I'm willing to open the deck up and solder something in if it's possible?!?!?

I now compress everything at AAC. I like it better than mp3. But I agree with you 192 vbr is the way to go if using mp3 compression.

I use the cassette adapter in my 2003 ML 350 and it sounds great! It's from Radio Shack. Suggest you try another one.

Only wish my wife's 2000 C230 had a casette player. Iagree with the FM Mod experience. Especially up and down the East Cost of the US where we get strong FM signals.
