I do hope that the "speeds" at which the car traveled in the video are not representative of the best it can do. In the U.S. the driver would almost certainly be run over and killed on the first commute. Sadly and ironically, it might be a Prius that ran over him.

Here's the prize, Toyota: 1000 km @ 120 kph, eight-hour charge. 2000 km @ 60 kph, eight-hour charge. Charge-time and distance relationship to be linear. (It doesn't have to be able to go 500 km @ 240 kph.) Be prepared for the anti-monopoly actions, as you would put every other maker out of business.
