The A/C on my SAAB 9000 T is not working so it hasn't been driven too much in the summer. Only on those occasional cold, cloudy days west of Denver.
The other day was one of those so I decided to take it. The SRS light was blinking and then stayed on. Now I think it just continually blinks.
Is this an easy fix? do I have to remove the air bag? I do have the CD-ROM manuals and will check them tomorrow.

Those making wagers would bet it is a broken "clockspring" in the steering wheel. Yes, that requires removal of the air bag.

Well, the clockspring on my Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel went. It took out the cruise control as well. I never tried the horn but the guy at Christopher Dodge World said the horn was probably out as well. This is common on the minivans, not very common on the 2500 pickups.
I tried the horn on the 9000T and it still works, so the clockspring is not totally gone.
I think my manual on CD should show how to remove the air bag. Any way to test what is wrong for sure?
