It first came loose (hose needed replacement); it goes to a splitter leading back through the firewall. Also connected at the splitter is a hose from the--what?--the fuel injection system?
What do these do, together? What kind of hose do I get to replace them, too...

Yes, that's right. Only in this case, it's decayed rubber hose. I took a chance and reconnected it, so now the dash turbo dial is apparently working.
I'd replace the vacuum hose soon with a new one.
