ACC for different 9000 models/years

Anyone that knows if the ACC electronic boxes are compatible between the different models? I'm looking at replacing the ACC of a '97 CSE with one (quite new) for a '92 CC. There main difference in the font panel is the CSE having two rectangular up/down buttons while the CC having two square butttons and a Celsius/Fahrenheit switch.

They don't match. You'll need to find a panel from another CS - no matter the modelyear.

Cheers!

I was not thinking about just the panel. In addition to the panel there should be some control electronics box which handles all interfaces to sensors and actuators. After some more digging I have understood there was a generation 1 of the ACC electronics up to '89, a generation 2 from '90-'94 and a generation 3 from '95 to '98. ACC2 and ACC3 are quite similar with a blend-air temperature sensor as the main new item in ACC3. Thus a '93 or '94 CS will not have the same ACC unit as a '97!

gives a good overviewif the text there is true. I have also found data indicating that at lest the Cabin Fan Sensor and the Vent Flap Motor are identical from '90-'98. Thus, with some luck, it might be possible to use an ACC2 electronics unit with the ACC3 sensor/actuator system, althogh with some degraded performances.
