Anyone know if there is any way to hookup an existing cell service to the built-in cell phone or do i have to go through onstar's service?

Verizon and OnStar teamed up so you can share airtimes minutes between your OnStar phone and your Verizon phone. You need the digital OnStar equipment though, which Saabs don't have. Eventually, they plan on offering hardware upgrades, but that's not available yet as far as I know. There's more information here:
