not too long ago i bought an 83 saab 900 S. i have found and am currently fixing all of the electrical problems. now i just have to find out what is wrong with my fuel delivery. at the moment all i want to know is how to turn my standard 2.0 liter 4 cylinder manual engine into a turbo. if anyone can inform me on just what i need to do to convert this european beast into a european whirlwind of fury please do so.

While you may be able to do this, your best bet would be to sell the 900S and buy a 900T.

There's enough internal differences that you'd have to replace the whole engine, as well as the fuel pump, a good portion of the wiring under the hood, instrument cluster, exhaust system, plumbing, some of the suspension components, in short the only way this would be practical is if you happened to have a wrecked turbo of similar vintage to use as a donor and a great deal of free time.
