Excellent! I think I recognise one or two of those cars. There's a good rear-quarter picture of a nice 'Forty' and that Red Arrow looks the business!

Except for the weather is was a perfect day. I had never been to a gathering like this, but it was definately a blast.

It is him indeed. It's a small world...

Wait, who? There's an interesting phoenetic coincidence.

Dave Hinz (who used to have a silver C900).

Yeah, that's funny.

Davinz the Forum nickname of a dutch Saabforum.nl member and certified SAAB nut, actually called Vincent. What amazes me is that Paul knows him...

See here for his profile...

He's been "my man in The Netherlands", providing lots of information, translations and all manner of help with the SAAB 900 Special Editions website I've been working on for the last few years.

I didn't click that Vincent was my rival bidder for a louvre on eBay recently and I managed to pip him by 20 UK pence :) Thank The Lord for the GBP/Euro exchange rate ... It could easily have been the other way round. Anyway ... I got the louvre (He was a bit cross at first ... There's a couple of amusing posts on saabforum.nl) but he got one from a more local source almost immediately afterwards which was actually a better option - mine is missing the fitting kit. It looks good, doesn't it?

I spent quite a lot of time cruising through the forums on saabforum.nl when I was looking for more information on Special Editions for that market - the 'Forty', the 'Red Arrow', the 'Silver Arrow' ... Eric Van Spelde's old number 180 'Silver Arrow' (of 150) :)

BTW - Does anyone have a spare fitting kit for this three/five door louvre?

Paul

It's always a good idea to have a man (or woman) in the Netherlands ;-))

There's loads of SAABforums around, I registred on the German and Spanish ones as well... Can be eye opening to see what fellow saabnuts in other countries have found out already... Takes a bit of imagination to read all the different languages though...
