Rear engined in the UK suggests Skoda, Hillman Imp (or rootes group derivative (maybe a Pug link there)), VW Beetle, or if very old, a Renault Dauphine. If you confused another brand for a Saab with a rear engine, I'm going to suggest a Skoda 105/120/130 (badged as Estelle in the UK) looks quite similar in shape to a 99 Saloon.
